Policies & Pricing

Cancellation Policy
 

In the event you need to cancel a tutoring session, give as much notice as possible.

  • Early bird cancellation (more than 24 hours prior to session) will result in no fee for the first occurrence and minimum of $15 for subsequent occurrences. 

  • Same day cancellation (4-24 hours prior to session) will result in fee of 50% of tutoring rate.

  • Last minute cancellation (1-4 hours prior to session) will result in fee of 75% of tutoring rate.

  • No show cancellation (less than 1 hour prior to session or failure to appear at session without notice) will result in a fee of 100% of tutoring rate.

Zelle is the preferred payment system-- it is free, convenient, and online. Families may also pay via check or cash. If you use check, please make it payable to Maria Tandon Tutoring LLC.

Late Pickup Charge
​

I strive to start and end sessions on time. If the session begins late due to my error, I will compensate you by extending the end time an equivalent amount OR end at scheduled time but prorate the session (based on hourly rate). If parent or childcare provider is late for pickup, there will be a charge (minutes late x hourly rate).

Administrative Fee

Communication is key to student success. There will be a $1/minute charge for time spent emailing parents, teachers, or stakeholders, looking up assignments on Progress Book prior to sessions, and completing homework prep tasks that make tutoring sessions most effective.

Transportation Charge

There is no transportation charge for sessions held at the following libraries: Orange and Beachwood. There will be an additional fee for tutoring sessions held in homes and schools. The transportation fee varies based on the distance from the library. Within 3 miles is $25 per month. 3-10 miles is $50 per month. These rates are based on once per week tutoring sessions.
